MECM简介
MECM是边缘系统中的管控部分，主要具有以下功能：
  • 对边缘系统有全局的视图，管理所有边缘节点及其资源可用状态。
  • 管理所有边缘节点上部署的应用
  • 负责应用包的全局管理，上传，分发到边缘等。
  • 负责应用的生命周期管理，能够通过中心管理面进行应用的部署，删除等。
  • 对边缘节点和应用部署状态进行中心化管理。同时MECM能够对整体系统有个全局的视图，管理应用包的上传下载与分发，应用的部署。
  • 初始化应用时，能够根据应用的部署策略，资源要求，网络资源状态等，正确的将应用部署到合适的边缘。
  • 能够根据管理员的策略设置，对应用进行自动化的调度和迁移。

Mep-agent helps edge application get registered EASILY with MEP in-line with ETSI MEC. Please find more details here https://github.com/EdgeGallery/mep-agent

In case of OCR app, it is used for the same.

Dear Team,

 

We tried to deploy easy-ocr demo example on our edgegallery and it was working fine.  Attached is the easyocr_deploy yaml file.

Now We were trying to deploy another sample container on edgegallery, but we saw in the attached  yaml file we are using mep-agent container.

I wanted to know what is this mep-agent container doing in easy-ocr use case. Can I use the same mep-agent container for all my sample containers?

 

It will be a great help if I get a good explanation on this.

     There are examples under the repo : https://gitee.com/edgegallery/example-apps

 

      There examples as : face_recognition, location_app, monitoring_service.   Which face_recognition  will expose a service to MEP and monitoring service will depends on it.

       And the deployment yaml file also there under each example folder:     https://gitee.com/edgegallery/example-apps/tree/master/face_recognition/deployment

         We encourage users to download the latest(V1.3) for testing and development since we fix so many bugs and add so many new features.. so we block the download link for V1.2… you can use V1.3~

I see good progress on your 1.3 deployment and let us continue the collaboration and have zoom meeting the further troubleshoot the 1.3 issue your are facing on app on onboard process.

 

We have done many  successful deployment of 1.3 with app on boarding and believe you can too sooner.

 

On 1.2 download error, we will look at it. Thank you for reporting.
